Research Lines

  • Integrative Physiology. The study of physiological systems at various levels of complexity, from genes and molecules to cells and organisms. Integrative Physiology addresses the function of the body as a whole and, precisely for this reason, helps to understand healthy and pathological states. 
  • Exercise Physiology. This is responsible for investigating physiological adaptations in response to exercise and physical training. In this way, it helps to design programs aimed at preventing and treating diseases, as well as improving the performance of elite and recreational athletes.
